........................................................
Downtown Disney was on the agenda for this day. We got up, drove over, ate breakfast at Rainforest Cafe, and then got down to business (shopping).
One of the first stops we made after breakfast was to the store to buy Henry some Mickey ears and have his name stitched on the back. I always thought it was so cool when kids have their names on the back of their ears. Cute, cute, cute... even though this picture is blurry, blurry, blurry.
Next
we went to the largest Disney store in the world, which was cuh-razy
busy because it decided to rain cats and dogs. It was pouring for
several hours unlike anything it had done previously in the week.
We couldn't really walk around because it was raining so hard. We quickly visited the Lego store and we managed to get some Ghirardelli treats (hot chocolate and some actual chocolate), but that was about it. We stayed in one little area and tried to stay dry.

We
made our final stop at another toy store before heading back to the
buses. This was the coolest part. They had a Mr. Potato Head bar where
you could get tons of different accessories for your Mr. and Mrs. PH. You filled a bucket for $20. It was a deal, for sure. My favorite
Henry's favorite pieces were the Buzz Lightyear and Donald Duck
outfits. They also had cute Disney tourist accessories like an autograph
book and pen, Mickey-shaped ice cream, Mickey ears and a Mickey balloon.
After the rain died down and after we made a pit stop at the hotel we decided to spend the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom.
We went on the "Zurg" ride again. This was Henry's favorite and we ended up doing it three or four times over the course of our visit.

Did you know that Magic Kingdom has a doctor's office right inside? We woke up and noticed that Henry's ear looked like this. It was a bit concerning just because we could NOT figure out what happened. It was badly bruised and in a very weird location, but wasn't hurting him at all.
I took him in and the nurses assured me I was being concerned for no reason. They even laughed at me a bit. By the next morning you couldn't even tell he had has bruising. It went away as quickly as it came. I guess they were right.
We had a front row view for the show at Cinderella's Castle. It was nice to be able to sit and relax for awhile.
Henry at Dustin did the Tomorrowland Speedway. Apparently Henry loved driving.
Another fun highlight of the trip was Henry riding his very first roller coaster! We woke him up from a cat nap in his stroller to get in line... kind of a rude awakening, actually. This wasn't a baby roller coaster; adults ride this. You can see the tracks and how they come "busting" through this sign. There was a hill involved. Surely it wasn't the largest roller coaster ever, but it was pretty impressive for an almost-three-year-old to ride. He liked it!

Only two more days left to blog!
