A big day at the splash pad!

Today Dustin and I took Henry to Hawk Island park to play in the splash pad. One thing that I really like about Lansing (I know, I actually like something) is the parks and lakes. There are so many fun places to take kiddos and they're free!

I had taken Henry here once before, but he wasn't walking at the time and it just wasn't as fun for him.

He was actually kinda scared of the water toys until he found this one. The water didn't come out as forcefully as the other toys so it was perfect for him. At one point, a little boy that was few months older than Henry came up to him and smacked him in the head with a bucket. Henry didn't seem to mind, though.



Dustin and I got pretty soaked (me especially) running him through the different hoses, fountains and sprayers. It was the perfect temperature to do this today. After we played for awhile we took a walk along the lake.

I'm scared to let him play in the lake because a bunch of moms from church have warned me about their little ones getting the runs from swallowing lake water. We did let him sit on the sand and get his toes (and hands and butt) dirty. He really didn't seem to be all that thrilled with it.

He was a tired little boy after all this fun. He was sleeping before we got home.
