I was thinking today how weird it is that our baby will never live in a world where a black man hasn't been the leader of the free world -- President of the United States. Our child will never think it's historic if another black man gets elected president. It will just seem normal.
Seems to me like a good time to be born.
It's even more weird to think that our "baby" will be eight years old when Barack Obama leaves office (supposing, of course, that he does get elected for a second term). That seems so far away, but I bet that time will be here before we know it.
